Built one at a time for the builders who still believe stock is only the starting point, the 4.0R delivers a clean break, positive reset, and the kind of straightforward performance meant to be used—not admired from across the room.

From 4.0 to 4.0R

The R matters.The Peacemaker 4.0R isn’t an attempt to erase the 4.0. It exists because of it.

The original system established the recipe. Years of building Heisenbergs, Vipers, Shredders, Mongoose systems, and everything between them changed what I know about Glock trigger geometry and how I approach each system on the work table.

Bringing the Peacemaker back without applying that experience wouldn’t have made much sense.

So the 4.0 didn’t simply return.

It evolved.

Same bloodline. New specification.

 The Peacemaker 4.0 earned its reputation years ago as one of the systems that helped define TacticalPontoon.

Last year, I reluctantly, had to retire it. That should have been the end of the story. It wasn’t.

I kept getting asked about it. More importantly, I kept looking back at what made the original work and thinking about what I would change if I put one back on the work table today.

So I did.

The Peacemaker 4.0R carries the bloodline of the original 4.0, updated with a revised component package and the experience gained from everything TacticalPontoon has built since. This isn’t a reproduction.

It’s the next specification.

    My first trigger upgrade, I checked around and found TP. Found it was a “ one man show”, and messaged James. We had a great one on one discussion, and he advised me on what matched what I wanted. The trigger arrived as described, and installation was a breeze! As of my first range test, it performed as expected, then some! There was no creep, the action was smooth, and that RESET! What a quick, crisp reset! The trigger made me love my EDC even more!
    This is not a mass produced, “cookie cutter” trigger. Each one is hand made by one guy. The attention to detail, fit, and function are impeccable! I wish I would have done this sooner!

    I was not impressed with the trigger on my 19x, it was better than previous gen 3 and Gen 4 Glock triggers but it just wasn’t great in my opinion. I was always resistant to buying replacement triggers for Glocks as I did not want to compromise reliability and safety; however, I was prepared to sell my Glock and figured I’d give tactical pontoon triggers a shot.

    Man was I blown away! First of all, the trigger housing is already a Glock OEM part, and all of the trigger components are nicely polished and reshaped a bit. To be honest, aside from the new trigger shoe this trigger package looked exactly like the OEM trigger package so I was a bit skeptical, BUT as soon as I installed and felt the new trigger break and reset I was sold! This trigger is incredible! There’s a very defined wall with little creep and a very crisp break! The reset is unreal for a polymer framed pistol, super short and crisp! As I said before, I was worried about reliability and safety with replacing the trigger group, but I ran 500 rounds through my handgun immediately after installing the trigger and did not have a single hiccup! Make sure you do all the safety tests (described on the website) to make sure everything is functioning as it should. Again, this does not change the overall Glock trigger mechanism, it just changes the shape of a few components as well as a different connector and striker spring with great polishing on all contact surfaces! The fantastic Glock safe action system is still intact and this trigger kit does not compromise it’s function! Highly recommend and will be buying more in the future!

    I used the drop in trigger for my SCT build and it’s one of the best triggers I’ve ever used. Nice clean break with a pronounced wall. If you’re on the fence about getting it, just do it. It’s well worth the money.

    Purchased for my PSA Dagger from all the recommendation. Easy install for someone who has never done a handgun trigger install. First trigger pull gun was shooting binary. From the informational videos that are provided the cruciform needed to be adjusted. With a little adjustment everything was good to go!

    The angle is perfect for my finger length.
    Even the safety spring gives ASMR.
    Clean break, reset is like a micrometer (I did adjustments on high value measuring tools for a while), can’t even tell unless you’re trying.
    My buddy is drooling over this, he’s gonna get one.

    I am on my second trigger from Tactical Pontoon. I have a Peacemaker in my Shadow Systems MR918 and just replaced the ZEV Pro Flat Face trigger in my ZEV OZ9 Elite with a limited edition Terminator and both are amazing. They are very smooth with a crisply defined reset. ZEV makes a great trigger, but find the Tactical Pontoon even better. My ZEV trigger would bind up if it was pressed at a slight angle, rather than straight back and the Tactical Pontoon Terminator felt smoother and rectified this issue. I’m sure I will be buying more in the future.

    I must say this trigger is amazing! Took me a while to pull the trigger due to the price but I’m soooo glad I did! My cr920xp is like a totally different gun. Shipping was pretty fast and install was quick and easy. The trigger made my groups tighter and follow up shots faster immediately. It even feels like it almost recoils a little less. I am very happy about how it turned out. You will not be disappointed! One thing I will say is he needs to make a dedicated full video for installs. Luckily I know my way around a Glock a little bit so I was able to figure it out but someone who doesn’t may have a little trouble. With the price of the trigger itself going the gunsmith route for install makes it that much more expensive.

    I combined the Peacemaker 4.0 Daily with the Elite Marksmen Spring set. Fantastic setup. Had to tune the cruciform, so being able to hop on the Tactical Pontoon Youtube and find the appropriate video was clutch.

    The Break is somehow sharp, super crisp AND light, simultaneously. Highly recommended.

    The Peacemaker Daily 4.0lb trigger is nothing short of amazing. I replaced the stock trigger on my Glock 19 Gen 5 with the tactical pontoon trigger and it feels like a completely different gun. The break is very clean, minimal pre and over travel and reset is about as perfect as you could ask for. The only downside to this trigger is that now I need to order them for the rest of my Glocks. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.

    Wasn’t happy with the stock trigger on the PSA Dagger, after doing a bit of research I came across the Tactical Pontoon YouTube channel. I watched a few videos which were very informative, from there I came to this page and decided to pull the trigger (no pun intended) on a peacemaker drop in system.     Ordered one of James’s drop in triggers for a Dagger compact, kit was for 4lbs however just used the shoe, bar and added a ghost 3.5 disconnector, reduced plunger spring and polished everything , also a DPM recoil system. With the OEM SWR slide and cheap combat armory match barrel, this works like a sowing machine.
    Compare this with another Dagger build using the Timney Alpha 3lb competition trigger with ported Zaffiri slide and barrel and I am preferring James’s trigger for control and finger feel.

    My first foray into trigger upgrades was with Tactical Pontoon’s Dagger Tune Up Kits. I have 3 of them now and I can honestly say they are worth every penny if you’re trying to get into an entry level trigger change. That being said if you want what I can only describe as the best feeling most consistent trigger feel around you need to consider the Peacemaker 4.0. I’m running it on my ported Grit Grips build and I am now ruined for any other triggers. The system has a short take up and a clean crisp consistent break that’s light enough to clean up your groups but still safe enough to not cause any concern for carry. If having one of the best triggers around isn’t enough then the support and resource that Tactical Pontoon provides is absolutely second to none. Have a simple question about any trigger not just his and he’ll absolutely take the time to answer and help. I can’t rate his triggers or his customer service high enough. World class for sure. I’m a customer for life.

    Best drop in trigger I have used in a glock. After many hours of research on all the aftermarket triggers out there on the market I decided to give tactical pontoon a shot. And this trigger did not disappoint. Clean pull, crisp break, and a nice audible reset you can feel. Everything you would want in a trigger. If you’re looking for a great trigger try these out. I don’t think you will be disappointed. After I got this for my gen5 g19 I liked it so much I went and bought one for my 43x with the same results.

    I purchased this trigger a while back as my first ever trigger upgrade in any handgun. I bought it for a Glock 19x that was my carry gun. I fell in love with this trigger.     I cannot say enough good things about Tactical Pontoon triggers! I have shot Johnny Glocks and other aftermarket Glock trigger systems and I will put this one at the top of the list every time! I purchased the Gen 5 Peacemaker Daily 4.0 and a Leonidas trigger at the same time and can’t say enough how amazingly smooth these triggers are. The Peacemaker had a short take up, a glass rod-like break and lightning fast reset. Glock factory triggers have always been a nemesis of mine and the first thing I usually change when I purchase a new Glock. I will be coming back to Tactical Pontoon for all my future Glock trigger purchases!

    I got this for my gen 3 g17. I’ve tried them all when it comes to aftermarket triggers. Apex, overwatch precision, Jonny glock. You name it I’ve tried it and I can confidently say this is by far the best feeling trigger; break wise and ergonomically. James went above and beyond to help me get it exactly how I wanted and even sent out a new trigger shoe completely free of hassle and questions nearly a year later when I explained my pin in my frame was walking (nothing was wrong with the previous trigger) he just gave me a better suited one for my gen 3 along with a tube of his badger snot and tons of stickers. If you’re on the fence between a tactical pontoon system or another. Save yourself the time and money and get one. You won’t regret it
