TacticalPontoon is a leader in the community and I put together a high value kit to upgrade the trigger in your RXM that beats the competition on every level.
The Peacemaker RXM Rug-Pul tune up recipe:
- I start with the TacticalPontoon Peacemaker blade style trigger shoe that has 50% less pretravel than the factory curved shoe. The flat face trigger shoe allows for better finger placement and leverage for more control over your shots.
- The TacticalPontoon 4lb connector that is highly polished and ready to replace the mushy 3.5lb connector
- TacticalPontoon overpowered trigger spring that will drop the break weight, while still keeping the reset from being weak.
- Includes sample size squeeze tube of Badger Snot grease to keep it all running smooth
- Duty rated striker spring
- Reduced weight safety plunger spring
The TacticalPontoon Story: I never saw myself building trigger systems. I picked up my first G17 and naturally being a bit of a tinkerer, I wanted to do a few upgrades. Of course, the trigger was the first thing that saw an ‘upgrade’ however that led me down a path that kept me searching for something better. I bought connectors, springs, and so many triggers and systems…..yet I was left scratching my head. There was so much money spent on marketing that the engineering of the parts themselves were lacking and I was very unsatisfied with the results. I found that so many parts were exactly the same and triggers were skin deep changes with the basic operations being the same. There had to be better and I was determined to figure out how to do it……and that led me to studying the components design and operation. I ruined quite a few parts along the way, changing things, tuning and tweaking components until they didn’t work or until I found something that worked to my standards. That led to the original Elite Marksman triggers that were featured on Tactical Toolbox. I just wanted Jonathon to check my work out and when the video hit Youtube, I was inundated with people who wanted the trigger system that impressed him like it did. Before I knew it, I was busy building triggers that amazed people who, like me, were not satisfied with the status quo. That has led me to upgrade and redesign the work that I do to continue to push the limits. I take great pride in creating the best and nothing comes close to TacticalPontoon.

Unbelievable trigger system, I had made a few minor mods myself but this system took my RXM to the next level. The feel of the trigger shoe alone is worth the money. The take up is reduced damn near 100%. The break is cripsy as hell and a consistent 4lbs just about everytime.
The only negative I have to point out is that the new connector causes the slide to remain slightly out of battery when press checking. Which isnt really an issue because after press checks its a good habit to tap the slide back home. A slight jerk of the pistol and she goes right back in place really. I could see that being more of a nuisance with lighter recoil springs. Im using the stock 18lb spring but again you should always tap your slide back home after press checks anyhow just thought I’d mention it for others to know. Overall I would absolutely buy again and I will whenever I purchase another RXM. I freakin love this pistol and she has reached her final form with the Peacemaker system. Thanks again James, you’re the man dude!!

Love it, the shoe is super ergonomic the parts glide like butter installation was easy. Crisp, predictable, smooth trigger pull every time. I can’t stop dry firing it.

Purchased and installed this Rug-Pul kit for my RXM after trying an old Apex trigger which still had that rolling break that I personally dislike. This kit was exactly what I was looking for in terms of a clean crisp break, the takeup is significantly reduced, and high quality. Absolutely recommend this for the folks who want a defined wall in their trigger. Would buy again just to have a different color.

My wife bought the RXM Rug Pul Tune-up kit for me for my birthday and I’m super happy with it, it was easy to install and the one issue I ran into with my trigger not fully resetting foward to engage the safety was easily fixed by swapping out the trigger spring with my factory spring per James advice when I reached out, and it works like a charm. I’m really happy with it and honestly for something that’s all hand tuned by one guy is a great deal. It adds to my story when I share the details on one of my of my pistols that I take great pride in. I definetly recommend upgrading your RXM with the Rug-Pul Tune up kit.
